The Certified Expertise

Catskills Dog Resort is designed and run by a professional trainer, behavior specialist, and certified pet nutritionist.
Every part of your dog’s stay is shaped and managed by someone who understands behavior, communication, stress, fulfillment, and dietary needs at a professional level.

Your dog is not only cared for. They are understood. They are supervised with intention, guided with clarity, and supported by someone who can ensure emotional and physical wellbeing, from the moment your dog arrives to the moment they return home.

The Level of Care

There are no upsells for real care. You do not pay extra for “additional playtime,” “extra cuddles,” or “enrichment.”

Fulfillment is our baseline. Every dog receives individualized attention, affection, and meaningful activity because that is how dogs should be cared for.

No “wash” or “grooming” upsell. If your dog gets dirty on the trails or in the pond, they do not stay that way. They live, relax and most even sleep in the trainer’s bed. If they get dirty, they get cleaned, just as you would.

The Land and Setting

You’ll find us on 5 quiet acres with a small, safe pond, a beautiful wooded forest, and the kind of silence that only exists when you are surrounded by rivers and mountains.

It is a peaceful, natural environment where dogs can decompress, explore, and feel grounded.

The Cottage Experience

Your dog will not be one among many in a crowded kennel and/or playgrounds. They live in the cottage with me, with a strict limit of 5 dogs total.

As a trainer, I supervise every interaction. This creates a safe, calm, structured environment that feels like a home and not like a facility.

Weekday wellness getaway

for city dogs.

A monthly ritual that keeps your dog fulfilled while you focus on work. Picked up Monday at sunrise, returned Thursday evening fulfilled.

A reset for your dog that gives you space to breathe

The Monthly Getaway gives your dog what the city simply cannot: four days of movement, nature, structure, decompression, and social connection, all under the supervision and care of a professional trainer and behavior specialist.

This is a reset, to keep them on a healthier baseline.

While you work, go to meetings, travel, or simply try to breathe, your dog is busy living a full and meaningful life in a thoughtful, and emotionally safe environment designed for long-term behavioral wellbeing.

Simple & Safe logistics

Pickups take place on Sunday evening at a designated meeting point near McCarren Park or Sternberg Park in Williamsburg, depending on the dog group.

Dogs travel in a professionally outfitted SUV, riding either in crash-tested kennels secured in the cargo area or in the back seat using a seat extender paired with a crash-tested harness, depending on size and individual needs. All setups provide proper airflow, climate control, and ample space for dogs to rest comfortably.

We intentionally limit each vehicle to a maximum of four dogs, depending on size, to ensure safety and a calm, low-stress ride.

This is not a multi-stop van route: there are no crowded airline crates, no long pickup chains, and no hours spent loading and unloading unfamiliar dogs. Transport is planned, direct, and designed to match the same level of care dogs receive once they arrive at the retreat.

They spend three nights and four full days in the Catskills, living the same curated lifestyle described in the boarding program. They return to the same meeting point on Thursday evening fulfilled, calm, and deeply content.

Small pre-vetted groups

Each Monthly Getaway is built around one tight-knit group of 4 to 5 dogs max, hand-selected for compatibility.
No random mixes. No intake chaos. No hoping for good luck in overcrowded. loud, and unsanitary daycare yards.

Dogs rotate through a daily rhythm of trail walks, rest, small-group social play, enrichment, and decompression with your favorite trainer supervising every moment.
A steady, thoughtful, emotionally safe environment designed for long-term behavioral wellbeing.
